Roles Of Various Users In WordPress Blog

Hello All,A Role describes the set of tasks which is allowed to perform There are five kinds of user roles in WordPress. Each one are described as under:

Administrator – Administrator has master access to all the administration features. Administrator is on top of all the roles. Administrator can perform below mentioned tasks:

switch and edit themes, activate and edit plugins, edit users, edit files, manage options, moderate comments, manage categories, manage links, upload files, import, unfiltered html, edit personal and others published and unpublished posts, publish posts, edit pages, read, edit others pages, edit published pages, delete personal and others published and unpublished pages, delete personal and others posts, delete published and private posts, edit private posts, read private posts, read- delete and edit private pages, create and delete users, unfiltered upload, edit dashboard, update and delete plugins, level 10 to 0.

Editor – Editor have permission to perform below mentioned tasks:

moderate comments, manage categories, manage links, upload files, unfiltered html, edit personal and others published and unpublished posts, publish posts, edit pages, read, edit others pages, edit published pages, delete personal and others published and unpublished pages, delete personal and others posts, delete published and private posts, edit private posts, read private posts, read- delete and edit private pages, level 7 to 0.

Author – Author has permissions to manage and publish their personal posts. However, Editor has permission to perform below mentioned tasks:

Upload files, edit posts, publish posts, read, delete posts, and delete published posts, level 2-0

Contributor – Contributor can write and manage their personal posts but no permission to publish the posts. Contributor has permission to perform below mentioned tasks:

Edit posts, read, delete posts, level 1 and 0

Subscriber – Subscriber can only read comments/comment/receive news letters, etc.
