Default Widgets in a theme: How to have an empty sidebar?

For any theme, there are some widgets that are hardcoded in the sidebar. If you do not add any  widget for your sidebar, these widgets will be displayed.

Sometimes, you may want to keep the sidebar completely empty. You can do this without changing any codes in your theme.

Just put a text widget in your sidebar, and leave it empty. The sidebar will remain empty.
