Problem Summary:
When trying to upload image/video to the wordpress blog…receiving this error message:
Unable to create directory [...]/uploads/2009/03″. Is its parent directory writeable by server?
Poosible Solutions:
1) Please have a check that wp-content folder has 755 recursive permissions. If it is not then grant the permsissions and have a check with image/video upload from wordpress admin section.
2) If above trick did not work then perform these steps:
- Login into wordpress admin area.
- Go to Settings -> Miscellaneous.
- Clear the path for uploading folder and set again either with default settings wp-content/uploads or desired settings in store uploads in this folder section.
- In this case, I have used default settings and added back slashes before wp-content/uploads path. I have removed that slashes and save the settings again which has fixed the issue.
